Multiplayer Competitions
Step up the pace of your classroom with Virtual Business's new
player competitions. Students will be completely engaged as they set up their own store and compete against their classmates for customer share and profit. A teacher scoreboard shows the scores of individual students as they fight it out to see who will have the leading store in this virtual city.
Easier to Use for Teachers and Students
Improved interface, better sim logic, and advancing levels make Virtual Business - Retailing 2.0 easier to use than ever. Menus now start off in easy mode, allowing students to focus on the fundamentals. Advancing students can click on a button to reveal more detail and control. Virtual Business - Retailing 2.0 also introduces the concept of levels. Beginning students will find the software easier to get started with, while advancing students will find constant challenges to keep them engaged.
More Realistic
All new graphics and more store product choices make version 2.0 even more realistic. Students get to pick from a list of twenty products to sell in their store. Expanded demographics challenge students to understand what products sell to which customers.
New Assessment Options
No more annual subscription fees and no need for an internet connection with our new Quiz Generator CD. The Quiz Generator allows you to create quizzes with random questions based on selected lessons. Features include, drag and drop addition and deletion of specific questions, ability to save quizzes for future reuse, ability to add your own custom questions, ability to print multiple versions of a quiz with questions randomly ordered, and more. Besides this great new assessment tool, Virtual Business - Retailing 2.0 also includes printable lesson worksheets, project portfolios, and performance journals to help the teacher assess student performance.

How Do I Use
- Lessons: A series of 13 great lessons break-down the task of running a business into easy to understand pieces. Printable assignments and worksheets guide the students through each lesson and let you document your student's success. (sample)
- Projects: Students start their own business from scratch and manage it from a single store to a chain of stores. Students record their progress in a “project portfolio” that can be used to track and assess a student’s performance.
- Competitions: Students run their businesses all within the same simulated economy. You, the educator, automatically get a journal comparing the performance of each team complete with a log of the actions taken by each team.
